MPI's Level 1 training course teaches the essential principles and practices of commercial/architectural paints and coatings with a focus on professionals that are directly involved in any aspect of commercial/architectural painting projects. This course is considered the industry minimum standard for all coatings professionals and is specified as a minimum requirement on coatings projects.

• Paint application
• Best safety practices
• Basics of specifications and standards
• Environmental regulations and compliance

Course Format: Course and Exam are online

Duration: 90 days to complete exam from date of registration

Exam Format: Multiple Choice, Timed exam

Minimum Passing Grade: 75% or greater to pass

Prerequisites: None

Required for:
MPI Level 2 Architectural Coatings Specification course.

Designation Received: MPI Architectural Coating Technologist (ACT)
