What Is QP 9?

QP 9 (Quality Procedure 9) is a recognized AMPP accreditation delivered in partnership with Master Painters Institute.

QP 9 evaluates whether a commercial contractor company has documented, repeatable procedures in place for managing quality, safety, and job execution. It confirms that those procedures are consistently applied through an independent audit.

Becoming QP 9 accredited is a signal to specifiers, project managers, and asset owners that you’re prepared for the job.

Complete and Submit an Application
Contractors complete the QP 9 Application and email to QP9@mpi.net.

Application Evaluation
Application will be reviewed within 10-14 working days. If application is approved, auditor is assigned. MPI will notify if an application needs additional information.

Independent On - Site Audit
An AMPP auditor verifies procedures at the office and an active job site. Be prepared by completing an internal audit using the Audit Checklist

Accreditation & Ongoing Compliance
If approved, company is QP accredited for 1- year period.

Typical timeline:
2–4 months once your application is complete.
