Keep your MPI Inspector certification current by completing renewal every three (3) years. Effective July 1, 2026, MPI is implementing an updated renewal process to support quality, consistency, and current competence for credentialed inspectors.
You will receive a renewal notice 90 days prior to your certification anniversary date, with reminders sent every 30 days. If your certification lapses, a reinstatement period will apply during which you can renew with an additional fee.

Before you start: Please have your inspection documentation and training records ready to upload/enter as part of the application.
What will I need for my renewal application?
You will be asked to provide information to support a review of inspection reports and field activity, verification of professional development and/or relevant training hours, and proof of MPI-approved ethics-related training completed within the past 36 months.
What are the requirements for PDH
A PDH guide [LINK] is provided to detail the types of PDH approved, it is recommended that you provide proof of 36 hours of PDH, however no hard requirements are set at this time.
